Hello everyone,
I know that it is spring cleaning time and I would like to take this opportunity to remind you all that instruments that are accessible and visible are keys to success.
We have seen it too often, guitars kept in cases under beads and pianos being used to sort laundry on. In this time of less space and more stuff we all have to chose what to keep out on display and this is my plea that you make your families instruments into one of the priorities to keep clear and out on display.
I recommend wall hanging guitars to keep them up and out of the way of little kids and pets. Or if your house is calmer than mine, a nice floor stand next to the couch so you can pick up the guitar and play during the ads.
My piano is currently covered in laundry so this is the pot calling the kettle black but try to not put non-music things on your piano, or in your “music zone”. Just the inspiring things that make you happy when you are playing.
That is my two cents on keeping instruments accessible to further your musical enjoyment.
What are your tips for keeping your instrument accessible so that you don’t “forget” (procrastinate) to play.
