Suzanne

Born in sunny Southern California, Suzanne Davey was surrounded by the sounds of music. Because of this lifelong exposure to music, she acquired a variety of musical tastes, ranging from classical to classic rock. She got her start in music at the age of 5, enrolling in piano lessons, and later taking up the violin and viola. Suzanne received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of California, Irvine in 2000, and her Master of Music degree, also in performance, at UBC. She has played in many ensembles including the B.C. Chamber Orchestra, the Vancouver Island Symphony, the UBC Symphony, the Burnaby Symphony Orchestra, the Chilliwack Symphony and Metropolitan Orchestra, and was the violist in the Brio String Quartet. Suzanne began teaching with us in 2017. She enjoys teaching all ages and levels of students; each lesson is carefully tailored to the student, whether they are interested in classical, popular, or fiddle music.
