Tots and Toddlers Tooting Tunes This program will consist of 6 one-hour long sessions beginning on January 11, 2016 and is aimed at the 2 and 3 year old age group. The fee for the entire 6 weeks is $75 per student. The program will take place at Sound of Music on Mondays from 11 to 12 noon for the morning session and 1:30 to 2:30 for the afternoon session finishing on February 22nd. There will be no sessions February 8th as that is Family Day. The focus of the sessions will be on rhythmic movement and singing. An introduction to various instruments and the sounds they produce will be included. The sessions will be joyful and encourage happy activity based on the fun of playing and learning about music. A minimum enrollment of 4 is required to run the classes.
Preschool Ukulele Jam This program will consist of 6 one-hour long sessions beginning on January 8, 2016 and is aimed at the 4 and 5 year old age group. The fee for the entire 6 weeks is $100 per student. The students will need to bring their ukuleles to class. The program will take place at Sound of Music on Fridays from 11:30 to 12:30 for the morning session and 1:30 to 2:30 for the afternoon session finishing on February 12th. The focus of these sessions is introducing the ukulele and teaching chords, strumming, basic rhythm patterns and songs. There will be sing along lessons with the focus being on happy, familiar songs and the fun of performing as a group. Minimum enrollment of 3 is required to run the classes.
