Private Lessons

Carlos will be teaching piano, theory, keyboard Monday and Tuesday from 11am – 4:30pm over the summer

Nick will be teaching guitar, drums, and ukulele Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 4pm over the summer

Jaclyn will be teaching violin Fridays and Saturdays from 11am to 4pm over the summer

Kindersessions – for kids 4 to 8 with any amount of experience from nil to a couple of years of lessons. Want to kickstart your child’s musical education? Our Kindersessions provide an introduction to rhythm, a variety of instruments, singing, note recognition and some basic music theory, along with a healthy dose of fun and games! Other activities include scavenger hunts and sing alongs, AND we’ll make our own tambourines and maracas!

Games Party Camp – For any age, a week dedicated to music, board games, card games, social games, and fun! What could be better? Winning strategies will be taught, and the entire week will be a super fun gaming competition!

Teddy’s Music Adventures – Ages 4 to 6. Bring your favourite stuffed animal and take the first steps to learning music. We will emphasize singing, and we’ll cover note recognition, basic rhythms, and keeping a beat with hand held percussion instruments. We’ll make our own tambourines and maracas! Planned for the last day is a Teddy Bear Picnic!

The Amazing Music Race – Ages 8-14. Much like the Amazing Race, this week will be dedicated to solving clues, working together, and testing yourself. We will spend the week learning the basics of music through scavenger hunts and trivia. We will even learn short songs on piano and then play them for each other! Participants will be encouraged to work together as well as individually, solving problems and questions to win the race! We will go over note recognition, basic music rhythms, and basic theory.

Introduction to Band – This camp is designed for any students (entering grades 4-6) who are interested in joining a school band or learning how to play a wind instrument. Throughout the week, we will learn how to read music and clap basic rhythms. We will also learn how to play the first 5 notes on the flute, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and clarinet. At the end of the week, we will work on a short song to play together!

Pirates and Princesses  – Ages 5 – 10.  We will emphasize singing, and we’ll cover note recognition, basic rhythms, an introduction to an assortment of instruments and keeping a beat with hand held percussion instruments. We’ll make our own tambourines and maracas! Planned for the last day is a costume party!!

GUITAR CAMPS (with Bobby)!

 August 24 – 28 10am-12pm: For beginner guitar students with little to no experience! You will learn simple chords, strumming patterns, single note exercises, basic reading, and super fun songs including the star wars theme song!!! All you need is your guitar and you’ll be on your way to being a rock star!!!
 August 24 – 28 1pm-4pm:   For intermediate students who know open chords and a few songs! you will learn more advanced chords, playing styles, how to read music, and more advanced awesome contemporary songs including Back in Black!!! All you need is your guitar and you’ll be on your way to being a rock star!!!
All of our camps require a minimum enrollment of 4 kids to run (and a maximum of 4-8 depending on the camp) so if you are thinking about participating in a camp register ASAP!!
