Raimundo Guitars

We are listing the last of the Raimundo guitars on Reverb so if you want one pop into the shop right quick as they are probably the last ones in Canada. As you may remember when the Canadian distributor went out of business a few years ago we got the last of their Raimundo stock and this is the very last of that. To remind you why it is so awesome here is a synopsis of the factory tour we got to go on in Spain in about 2005 ish… And a video of Anatoli showing off one of the guitars at the end too!

Row upon row of neck wood air aging.
When we were there they only used computerized machines to measure and cut without error.
Neck sanding station – for a super smooth finish.
Using a rubber mallet to set a very thin slice of hand made rosette. They are made in long circles of tiny coloured wood pieces glued together in a pattern.
The press used to bend the guitar sides (I am pretty sure…. note the moody teenage Kathy… probably why I am not 100% sure.)
Backs already braced, they use white wood glue for the bracing, no one remembers why they use that kind but it is what they have always used and it works!
The guitars sides setting in shape to the back and front left to bind.
Attaching the bridge and checking the measurements
Rolling the finish onto the sides.
Putting the bridge on and touching up the finish

Bridges setting before strings and hardware are added
